OWWA Scholarship A.Y 2025-2026 Now Accepting Online Applications
The OWWA Scholarship 2025 offers financial assistance to dependents of active Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWS). to help them pursue higher education in the Philippines. The OWWA announced the opening of OWWA EDSP and ODSP Scholarship program for the academic year 2025 to 2026.
What is OWWA Scholarship Program?
OWWA Scholarship is a financial assistance program offered by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to support the educational needs of qualified dependents of active Overseas Filipino Workers(OFWs). it helps OFW families by finding their children or siblings for educational need.
There are 4 (Four) types of Scholarships provided by OWWA:
- (EDSP) – Education for Development Scholarship Program.
- (ODSP) – Dependent Scholarship Program.
- (CMWSP) – Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program.
- (ELAP) – Educational and livelihood Assistance Program.
OWWA EDSP Scholarship Program for AY 2025 – 2026
The OWWA Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) is one of the main scholarship initiatives provided by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). it helps the dependents of active (OFWs) by providing Financial assistance for College Students.
OWWA EDSP Eligibility Criteria
To Apply OWWA EDSP Scholarship program you need to follow eligibility criteria given below:
- OWWA Scholarship is open and active to it’s Children or siblings.
- Applicant must be incoming first-year college students.
- Incoming first-year college students: must be under 21 years of old at the time of application
- Continuing college students: must be under 30 year old with no failing grades.
- General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80% or to it’s equivalent.
- They must enroll in a recognized Philippine-based college or University.
OWWA EDSP Scholarship Benefits

Documents requirement to apply
To Apply EDSP of OWWA Scholarship must follow the requirements of several documents to verify eligibility. Below is the list of documentary requirements:
- Proof of Relationship to the OFW.
- Birth Certificate or baptismal certificate showing the relationship between the applicant and the OFW.
- For Siblings: Birth certificates of both the OFW and the applicant to establish sibling status.
- Copy of the active OFW membership certificate or proof of active OWWA Membership.
- Academic Records:
- Form 137 (School Permanent Record) or Form 138 (Report Card) With grades form Grade 11 or equivalent.
- Certificate of Grades or Transcript of Records (TOR) for college Students.
- Valid School ID or any government-issued ID of the applicant.
- 2×2 ID Pictures with With Background and name tag.
- Other Documents if applicable.
OWWA ODSP Scholarship Program
The ODSP Scholarship Program is now open to apply for all the eligible Filipino Students For academic year 2025-2026, scholarship grant given to the qualified dependents or a sibling of a single active OWWA Member.
OWWA Member of OFWs who receive a monthly salary of US$1000.00 or below, shall enroll in this scholarship program. you can enroll in any 4 to 5 years baccalaureate courses in any college or university in the Philippines.
Benefits Given
Scholars Will receive a financial assistance of PHP10,000 Per semester or PHP20,000 per academic year. Shall be cover their tuition and other academic expenses.
Documentary Requirements
- Valid OFW Passport Copy
- Applicant School ID or other valid ID
- Birth Certificate or Baptismal
- Proof of annual income
- pay slip, Employment certificate, proof of OFW income.
Requirements to Apply ODSP
- Must be single while applying
- Must be a child or sibling of an OFW active member.
- Must have good GWA of 80% without any failing grades or within 20% of graduating class for children of OFW.
- Applicant must not be more than 21 years of old for incoming 1st year college and not more than 30 years of old for 2nd to 5th year college program.
- Applicant must enroll in a Philippine-Based College or University.
OWWA CMWSP Scholarship Program
The Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP) is another scholarship program by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). it is aimed to support Financial Educational assistance to it’s dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
Requirements to apply OWWA CMWSP Scholarship
To qualify for the Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP) offered by OWWA, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- They must be a child or sibling of an active OWWA member.
- The OFW must have active membership at the time of application.
- Applicants must be below 21 years old at the time of application.
- Must be single and without dependents.
- Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80% of its equivalent.
- Should not have any failing grades in the most recent school year.
- The annual family income must not exceed ₱76,000.
- Proof of income (e.g., ITR, Certificate of Indigency) is required.
- Must enroll in a science and technology-related course at a college or university in the Philippines.
- Institutions must be accredited and recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
- Must pass the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) qualifying exam for scholarship selection.
