CHED Medical Scholarship is now open for all eligible Filipino Students for the year 2024 – 2025, This program shall be accessible to qualified and deserving Filipino Student’s who are willing to undertake the mandatory return service.
What are the Scope and Coverage:
CHED Medical Scholarship Program is accessible to qualified and deserving Filipino Students who are willing to study in the medical field, Preferably but not limited to those who are:
- Those who are residing in municipality without government physicians,
- Those who are residing in GIDA – Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas or from the top 20% Provinces and or Municipalities as identified by the PSA calamity prone and conflict areas.
- Residing in low-income class municipalities with high poverty incidence.
- Dependents of community health volunteers and
- Those whose combined annual family income is less than PHP450,000.00.
CHED Medical Scholarship 2024 Requirements

- Must be a Citizen residing in the Philippines,
- Graduating student or a graduate of an appropriate undergraduate program identified as a prerequisite for a Doctor of Medicine degree and currently enrolled in Doctor of Medicine degree, from any HEIs duly recognized by the CHED, including a direct entrant to the integrated liberal arts and medicine (INTARMED) program;
- Obtained a National Medical Admission Test,
- Score mandated by the CHED and required by the SUC/PHEI and
- Those who Passed the Entrance Examination and
- Those who complied with other related requirements for Admission into a Doctor of Medicine degree in any of the following SUCs/PHEIs.

What are the Documentary Requirements
Here are the list of Documentary Requirements to apply CHED Medical Scholarsip:
- Proof of Filipino Citizenship such as:
- any Government-issued document showing Proof of Filipino Citizenship
- a Certified true copy of Birth Certificate issued by the local Civil Registry or Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Philsys ID.
- Certificate of Good Moral Character,
- Additional requirements for Priority Groups.
- Certification of Residency issued by the barangay,
- Certification as members of indigenous people or minority group
- National commission on Indigenous peoples (NCIP) Certificate,
- Tax Exemption/Tax declaration (from BIR) or social case study duly signed by a registered social worker where the applicant resides;
- Certification issued by the DOH-Bureau of Local Health Systems and Development that the applicant is a dependent of community health volunteer; and
- Certification from the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office or Department of Social Welfare and Development that the applicant is from the calamity-prone and conflict areas.
CHED Medical Scholarship benefits
Following are the Benefits given to the Scholars:
- Tuition and other School Fees (TOSF)
- SUC :
- TOSF subsidy shall be provided to the scholars to be paid directly to the SUC by the concerned CHEDRO; and
- PHEI :
- TOSF subsidy shall be provided to the scholars to be paid directly to the PHEI but not exceeding 100,000/semester.
- The concerned PHEI shall provide the counterpart fund for the balance in excess of 100,000/semester.
